The Centre for Sustainable Asian Cities (CSAC) is a research centre, situated in the School of Design and Environment in NUS, to develop advanced and innovative urban planning and design solutions for sustainable cities. Its research efforts focus on the critical environmental and social issues in high density urban environments, with an emphasis on the cities in Asia and developing countries.
The Centre is seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Fellow who will assist to undertake research and manage research projects. The candidate is also expected to coordinate the research activities in the Centre, which will include preparation of research proposals and grant submissions, manage relationships with stakeholders, liaison with government agencies and other research organisations, and undertake promotional and related activities. As a senior researcher, the candidate’s assigned tasks would include managing data collection, assessing data validity, undertaking advanced data analysis and other research activities, including writing research reports and preparation of publications. Within the Centre, the candidate is expected to guide junior and student researchers, conduct occasional educational/instructional activities, organise workshops and other duties as assigned.
The Postdoctoral appointment is for a period of two years.

This research fellow will be involved as research program manager in the Dean Office, School of Design and Environment (SDE) for a period of 2 years, working closely with the Vice Dean (Research) to manage and coordinate the research activities of SDE.
